New sun hat

My in-laws were visiting recently, and we made our regular trip to Niagara Falls to visit with the British-American contingent.

I found this lovely gothy sun hat in a tourist shop, and I couldn’t resist.

While it was very sunny the previous day, the Weather Network threatened thunderstorms, and I figured this was a hat for all occasions.

Unfortunately, being inexpensive and from a tourist shop, it hasn’t worn well. Fierce winds seem to have done their worst, and the top stitching is coming out.

I need to figure out how to sew it back together. Or, you know, leave it in a box until I forget about it. Whichever is more likely.
