I’m now getting a handful of strawberries and snow peas ripening every day, which is wonderful.
The carrots are starting to come along too. I’ve never grown carrots before, so I don’t know when I should pull them up. I’m thinking at least another week or two? They look a bit skinny.
The tomatoes are finally starting to come in, with more flowers popping up every day. None have come close to ripening yet, but we’ve had a weird summer.
Further evidence of this above. Last year around this time my raspberry bushes were teeming with ripe berries, but so far I’ve only found a handful, and some have been rather tart, not quite ripe.
These early guys don’t look terribly attractive, but in the next week or so I may have enough to can. Here’s hoping.
