I am excited to present a panel entitled Encounters in Medieval Trans Studies at the International Congress on Medieval Studies.
I am organizing a panel hosted by the Society for Queer Medieval Studies for the International Congress on Medieval Studies (ICMS) that will take place in May 2023.
My paper is titled “Thinking through Silence and Transness in Medieval Literary Texts,” and looks at a thirteenth-century verse romance.
There are a number of great lists of queer books and articles that focus on the Middle Ages, but I couldn’t find anything that specifically centred medieval trans and translike figures, so I decided to create one.
I will be presenting my paper “‘Calling [Herself] Eleanor’: Translike Gender Presentation in
Medieval Europe” on Friday, 26 March 2021 at 11:40 am EST.
I will be presenting a paper at Moving Trans History Forward, a conference hosted by the University of Victoria.
